Title: Family-friendly with a few drawbacks
My wife says that a larger variety of dining options within walking distance would have been better.

We stayed at a budget-friendly ryokan during New Year's and had a comfortable experience. The hosts were friendly and provided us with a delicious Japanese breakfast for an extra fee. The room was cozy and clean with a traditional futon for sleeping. We appreciated the convenient location near the train station and 24-hour convenience stores.
The neighborhood was quiet, which could be a positive aspect for some people but made it difficult to find open restaurants and activities during the holidays. The streets were also poorly lit at night, making it slightly challenging to navigate.

The flat-screen TV and dining facilities were also a bonus, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time here.
We would highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends for a luxurious and comfortable stay.
